The route

Questions about this trip

What makes the 8-day route different from the 6-day one?

It adds a full guided day in Fes and the Volubilis/Meknes stop on the way, rather than passing through in one afternoon.

Are hotels or riads used on this route?

Both — city nights are usually in riads inside the old medinas, and we use proper hotels where riads aren't practical.

Is this trip suitable for families?

Yes, though the driving days (up to six or seven hours on the longer legs) are worth knowing about in advance for younger children.

Can I add extra nights in any one city?

Yes — Fes and Marrakech are the easiest to extend, just let us know when booking.

What should I pack for the desert night?

A warm layer for the evening and early morning — desert temperatures drop fast after sunset, even when the day was hot.
